BT Sport schedules perfect Nakamura classic for Celtic fans to enjoy during shutdown this week

BT Sport will broadcast highlights of Celtic’s incredible Champions League victory over Manchester United in 2006 later this week, their current hours show.

The half-hour program is set to start at 6.30 p.m. on BT Sport 3 this Thursday evening, with fans able to relive one of Europe’s famous nights at Celtic Park.

A glorious free kick from Shunsuke Nakamura was enough to win the game 1-0 and send Celtic for the first time in the last 16 of the modern Champions League format.

The late drama came even after the Japanese icon’s wonderful effort, with goalkeeper Artur Boruc stepping forward to deny Louis Saha a penalty, as Paradise roared under the lights.

It was a magnificent result against one of Alex Ferguson’s elite teams. Man United would not lose another group game away from the competition for 5 years.

Stars like Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney and Rio Ferdinand just couldn’t find a way to deny Gordon Strachan’s heroes.

Although Nakamura’s talent was evident before this game, his free kick was one of the moments that helped solidify his status as one of the best players to come through the club in the past 20 years.

He would go on to celebrate other big moments, including an incredible long-range strike against Rangers in a crucial clash in 2008.

Remarkably, the 41-year-old former Japan international still plays football in his homeland, with Yokohama FC in the country’s top flight.

Going back the years and watching the midfielder magician in action Thursday night seems like a good stop viewing!
