Esport officially recognized as professional sport, new opportunities follow

The Thai Professional Sports Committee has agreed to welcome Esports, also known as eSports, into the fold of professional sports in Thailand. The announcement was made official in the Royal Gazette.
Esports represents sports based on video games that can be played alone in a hall or in a team. The games include first-person shooter games, such as the Call of Duty assortment of options, among others. Now that Esports has been recognized as a professional sport in Thailand, they will have the opportunity to get help and support in different areas from the Professional Sports Committee. They will also receive assistance from the âProfessional Sports Promotion Fundâ of the Sports Authority of Thailand.
Officials will provide assistance to Esport athletes through athletic development, honors and promotion of athletes to become professionals both at home and abroad. Officials will also set up the management of professional sporting events, clubs and other associations.

- Motorcycle racing
- Cycling
- Car race
- Billiards
- Badminton
